Music
The music department at Majestic Way offers a comprehensive program that begins in 2nd and 3rd grade, where students are introduced to the fundamentals of music through general music practices. The main focus at this level is on musical development, helping students internalize different sounds and musical concepts with their voice and setting the foundation for their future instrumental studies in 4th and 5th grade. In 3rd grade, students transition to more performance-based learning, helping them prepare for instrumental music learning in 4th and 5th grade and to select an instrument as they progress into the upper grades.
In 4th and 5th grade, students engage in performance-based classes that specialize in string instruments such as the violin, cello, and viola, as well as a variety of band instruments, including the flute, clarinet, trumpet, and trombone. These classes emphasize hands-on learning and practice, allowing students to develop their skills and musical expression. The 4th and 5th grade program culminates in two annual performances where students proudly showcase their musical journey, demonstrating their progress and the dedication they’ve invested in mastering their chosen instruments.
